Adolencence And Student Counselling

Like adults, children can also feel overwhelmed and face the inability to cope with their life. It may be because of peer pressure, bullying at school, academic pressure, loss of a loved one, parental divorce, domestic violence, abuse of some kind, issues with parenting style, separation from friends, moving to a new school etc. which could be traumatic to a child. This could result in children reacting in varied, anomalous ways. They may withdraw into a shell, portray aggression, fear and nervousness, under perform at school due to lack of concentration etc. This could affect their physical, psychological and emotional health adversely.

At SEN GLOBAL we provide a safe, trustworthy, confidential and a nonjudgmental atmosphere. We build warm relationship with the child so that child can express, divulge and discuss his/her concerns freely. Through the medium of art and play, children are able to express their deepest emotional needs. This facilitates our understanding and identification of the exact concerns of the child at an early stage. Then we aim at gradually building their strength, coping abilities and adaptability to face and sail through unpredictable life situations in a positive manner.

We often tell parents that taking any form of psychological treatment for your child does not mean that your child is mentally incapable or challenged in any way. Taking such treatments aid the child to deal with their problems with the help of a counsellor which they may not be able to deal with on their own otherwise.

Adolescence Counselling.

Conduct Disorder

Conduct disorder is a serious behavioral and emotional disorder that can occur in children and teens. A child with this disorder may display a pattern of disruptive and violent behavior and have problems following rules. Over a longer period of time.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Commonly, people believe that ADHD is just related to behavioural issues. ADHD is a far larger problem which deals with inefficiency in managing the brain and its functions. To be more specific ADHD has nothing to do with the intelligence of a child but, to do with attention deficiency which the child’s brain is unable to comprehend and deal with.
